How is colon cancer detected? Who is affected?

1/ The risk is high if you have a family history of digestive cancers or polyps, and/or inflammatory bowel disease.

Make an appointment with your GP, who will refer you to the gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy.

2/ The risk is medium if you are over 50 and have no symptoms.

Make an appointment with your GP to have a stool-bleeding test.
