The Kidney and Prevention Day Hospital (REP) opened on 11 May 2023. This is a programme of 4 half-day hospitalisations, spread over one year. It consists of a quarterly reassessment of patients with stage 3 chronic kidney disease, and a personalised follow-up. The main aim is to help patients develop the skills they need to manage their condition and become more independent in their daily lives.

During the first hospitalisation, patients are given a monitoring booklet and the various professionals will draw up
a shared educational assessment. Each patient's diary will be used throughout the programme and can be referred to afterwards.

Patients have individual meetings with a number of different people: a nurse trained in therapeutic education, a dietician and a psychologist. They also meet with the social worker, in a group session, and take part in a physiotherapy session and a relaxation session at the end. The nephrologist reviews the day's activities and gives him his discharge liaison form.
